In Pain

Posted in Group:

The Big ? That no one can answer is WHY! The Dr.'s tell me I have Fibro. I'm having a hard time with it. For the last 3 yrs its been really bad:( I have been on and off sooo many drugs trying this and trying that. The latest are Amitiptyline, for sleep, topiramate for headaches and hydrocodone for pain. Most of the time I just what to SCREAM. When I go to work anymore, I just what to CRY I'm so sore and tied. 1 symptom of mine is, it feels like someone has hit me as hard as they could in my arm's and legs. Like a charlie horse feel if that makes any sense.

Not sure if you do but have you tried seeing a pain management doctor? I've also been in pain for over 9 years and sadly have found no relief and have fibro as well. I'm not on any type of pain meds but know that often therapies such as physical and occupational can help as can chiropractic work.

Carmel,

I think you have to find what works for you. Cymbalta helped me alot. Chiropractic work was way to painful for me.

Hello everybody, I am a Physical Therapist and I have treated many Fibromyalgia cases in my office, I would like to post some new info on my facebook,
medrehabtherapy. You could join the site.

Unfortunately Fibromyalgia could be very deblitating however gentle mild exercise program on a daily basis would help and be sure you could consult Neurologist who has some experience in treating these cases. Usually Neurologist prescribe group of anticonvulsant medciations. But if you add exercises to improve your functional mobility, strength and length of your muscles. You could see improvement.

I personally found a combo of anti inflammatorys and muscle relaxers were effective. I've been on for 5 years with this combo. I receive bowen treatments as well and that is a miracle of it's own. might be worth trying.
