My Doctor told me to join a support group, so here I am.

Posted in Group:

I just was diagnosed with fibromyalsia. I have had overall body pain for awhile and the fatigue and headaches have increased in intensity and frequency. I tried to ignore it and play it off as it was all in my head. But, it was getting worse and I actually found a doctor that cares. I don't know much about fibromyalsia. Does anyone know of a good source where I can get some answers about fibromyalsia. My husband tries to be supportive but since he doesn't understand it he minimizes how I feel by ignoring it. I have stopped mentioning how I feel because nobody seems to care.

I got my husband involved by asking him to help me do research on Fibro. It has helped us quite a bit. We're researching food allergies and how certain foods can help imflamation as well. Find out as much as you can. We can help ourselves by being up to date on what the medical community discovers about our illness.
